Around Our World Today...

In pre-Christian times, a festival called the Pardon of the Sea was celebrated annually in Britanny.

It was originally dedicated to Athes, a Pagan goddess of the sea, and was later Christianised into the Feast of Saint Anne.

((( If you wish to celebrate this - head on down to the ocean and give thanks Athes and ask Her to pardon all sins you have created, or have seen done in this world. Splash or better yet, swim in Her essence. Ask permission to bring home a few shells as a memory of your glorious time together. Place these items by your front door for protection. Better still, make a chime out of them so that Her presence is felt when the winds blow. You could even make a necklace or bracelet to wear for Her protection. If you wish to gift Her an offering, make sure it will not harm Her waters or all that dwell in Her, leaving white flowers is a good offering.)))
