Southern Hemisphere Animal Wheel

Koala - August 22 to September 21

It is the time of the Bear - in the Northern Hemisphere. But what about here, in the Southern hemisphere. I was thinking about this on my walk this morning, and noticed that the Gum trees were starting to green up and the nuts were starting to form, then I thought of which animal we have down here that would benefit from this the most and thought of the Koala. Now the Koala is not a bear, but close enough to one in looks. They love the fresh, new leaves that come in Spring and spend their days lounging around contemplating life, maybe. More likely, which branch they would devour next. So, where as in the N.H the bear is prominent from August 22 to Sept 21 and in the sign of Virgo - I thought that here down under, we would honour the Koala during this time. (Starting up a new animal wheel)... * Koala Animal:

Koala is a marsupial and those animals teach us the importance of bringing ideas and plans to early fruition and then nursed along through experience. Eucalyptus is also important to study and used as a healing oil or fragrance. Its aroma helps with the lungs, kidneys, liver and nasal passages. It helps dispel toxins and is very calming. Koala can teach you how to keep your emotions under control. Be careful of becoming too sensitive or too emotional in stressful situations. Relax and climb above the problems to see them from a different perspective. If a Koala appears to you in person or in a dream state, it is a message that you have been carrying an emotional burden which you need to let go of. Remember you are stronger than you imagine and you will be able to hang on through adverse times. Koala people need to have a safe home where they can be safe, protected, and that is not stressful. Koala people are very comfortable by themselves. They are also empathic and in tune with the emotions of others.

Because of this, they need time alone to detox and regroup.
