This prayer should be done in the morning, between dawn and noon.
Opening
"Hail Bright Maiden of quicksilver delight,
Shine upon me.
Thy morning blessing, which,
Like the new dawn, refreshes my Spirit and
Lifts my heart with song.
Blessed Be."
Main Prayer
Lady,
You are virgin.
You are like a fallow field
That hides its moist, dark secret
From the sun;
Like meadow grass, uncut,
Or the chill, clear mountain pool.
You are the ever-changing moon...
Even, I, Your Priest (ess), cannot touch Your
Secret self, cannot penetrate
Behind the knowing smile,
Or gaze too deeply into your eyes.
You are virgin and eternal;
Your dance begins with
Springtime's promise -
The promise that enfolds the heart
With Your return...
